The Flaming Lips The Flaming Lips Announce Tour DatesThe Flaming Lips today announced their initial tour dates for their US leg of the Embryonic support tour. The tour will feature a blend of theater, outdoor and festival gigs.

The tour kicks off on March 12 in Austin, Texas and a highlight will be their performance of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album at at this year’s Bonnaroo Festival where they will be joined onstage by Stardeath and White Dwarfs who will support the Lips with their performance.

Coinciding with today’s news is a release date of the physical version of their cover of the DSOTM album. The limited version will be on sale 17th April 2010, while the CD version will be out 4th May 2010.

    I now remember why I quit listening to the radio in the mid ’80s… Generally no one can make music anymore!!??

    While I agree there is plenty of rubbish coming through the radio nowadays, if you look outside the box you may find the real gems of these times.

    There is plenty of great stuff out there today. You just need to search harder for it. I really do not subscribe to one decade producing all the good music.
